Yellow Couch Music, the New York-based jazz collective led by drummer and producer Layton Weedeman, returns with “Am I More Than Enough?!!!??!” featuring longtime collaborator Estephanie. A slow-blooming ballad that fuses woozy jazz textures, smoldering soul, and hazy hip-hop into a sound both intimate and expansive. Drawing from early experiments in blending live instrumentation with formative influences, Weedeman builds a sonic space of contrasts—strength and softness, doubt and devotion—elevated by Estephanie’s lyrical clarity and breezy tone, which hovers between lullaby and lament. Inspired by the shadowy elegance of Portishead and the neo-soul sophistication of The Internet, the track explores love, overcompensation, and self-doubt, capturing Yellow Couch Music at their most reflective and refined.

Layton Weedeman, a seasoned drummer, composer, and producer, has spent over two decades exploring rhythm as a language of connection through jazz, hip-hop, soul, and global traditions. His latest project, Yellow Couch Music, launched in 2024, blends collaborative artistry with improvisational roots, serving as both recording platform and creative collective. From his early influences to his time at Berklee and co-founding the band Courtesy Tier, Weedeman has developed a deeply versatile style. With contributions from a diverse range of artists, Yellow Couch Music’s debut album Tidings In The Rough reflects Weedeman’s commitment to groove, community, and authentic expression.
