A self-taught musician, singer/songwriter Mia Wray is starting to make her mark on the Australian music scene. From the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Mia's exuberant youth belies her maturity as a songwriter and performer.

She absolutely nailed five performances at the recent 2014 Woodford Folk Festival, enthralling audiences with her gentle songs and her endearing stage presence. Playing both piano and guitar, her voice is at times delicate and fragile, at times solid and uplifting - but always mesmerising.

This clip was recorded at Bill's Bar on Sunday 28 December, and is an original called "Where I Stand". An anthemic and inspiring song, it was chosen by Australia's Channel 7 as the background music in the promotion for their nationwide coverage of the 100th anniversary of Gallipoli in April 2015.

Look out for Mia and try to catch her live performances, they are an absolute delight.
She's moving to Melbourne soon, so watch out for her down south...
