Bach," (TROY1163). William Appling (1932-2008) was a brilliant educator, conductor, arranger and pianist. His recordings with William Appling Singers & Orchestra have received international acclaim. Scott Joplin composed "Binks' Waltz" in 1905 on a commission from William Morgens, a St. Louis dry cleaner, who had requested a piece from Joplin to celebrate his son's birth.
