About the Song:
AVM Productions produced two Family sentiment films in Tamil : "Kuladeivam" (1956) and re-made as "Bhabhi" in Hindi as early as in the year 1957. Shri Sarathi Studioes again re-made it in Telugu as - "Kuladaivam" in 1960. Great Legend Ghantasala Venkateshwara Rao sang the song "Payaninche O Chiluka" in Telugu and another Great Legend Mohammed Rafi rendered "Chal Ud Jaare Panchi" in Hindi, the tune being the Same.The Hindi version was made first and the Telugu version subsequently ! They happened to sing several such songs of same tune in Telugu & Hindi and all of them were SUPER HITS ! The lyrical values of all the three songs(Tamil,Hindi and Telugu) also go so poetic and idiomatic that they do not give an impression that they were translated from one language into another!

About the Two Great Singers:
Both the great singers -- Ghantasala and Rafi Saheb had respect to each other and sang this tune in the language of their respective field with equal command and style! But after listening to the Telugu version, RafiSaheb appreciated the Telugu version and expressed that Ghantasala sang it better than He!
On the other side, with due regards to RafiSaheb Ghantasala used to sing RafiSaheb's Hindi version in his concerts! He even used to render "O Duniya Ke Rakhwale" of RafiSaheb(BaijuBawra) in his concerts! That was the mutual respect they had! Both were GREAT SOULS! Both encouraged youngsters!
Both of them never sang for making money! Their's were heroic voices and the heroes claimed their filmdom's success/image, but for the soulful support of these two legends' golden playback voices! They acted with their versatile voices alike!

The Golden Era ended with these great singers' demise at a middle age of just 52-56 years!

With due regard to the GREAT SOULS, I ventured to present their -- TWO-IN-ONE (One Tune Two Voices) series, with same TUNES rendered by them, as a Musical Tribute to the TWO GREAT LEGENDS !
