TRYING, The Paramounts, (Carlton #524) 1960
Flipside: GIRLFRIEND (nice up-tempo) – Here is another really great ballad from my music collection. The Paramounts hailed from the Bronx, New York. Group members were Milton Delgado (lead), Joey Mility, Freddie La Bianca, Jimmy Giattino and Richie Black.
According to our source, The Paramounts were managed by Jim Gribble who also managed The Passions, The Mystics and The Fiestas. Gribble sent the group to Carlton Records where they backed up Ralph De Marco on the side "OLD SHEP" released in 1959 on Carlton's subsidiary label (Guaranteed Records #202).
Enjoy this really great unknown ballad “TRYING” by The Paramounts with Milton Delgado singing lead. This is Bronx, New York doowop at its finest!
