The first side recorded during the much-written-about Singin' The Blues session was a Frank Trumbauer showpiece.
Something I hadn't really noticed before was that the Okeh recording equipment must have been a bit out of calibration or the engineer was a bit careless that day, because there is a really distorted passage at 2:30. I fixed it to the extent possible, but the distortion is really buried in the music. There's a similarly-distorted passage in Clarinet Marmalade in the piano solo about a minute in.
