Following her successful debut, The Nutmeg Suite, Tiffany Strachan presents The Monarch. The Monarch is a musical arrangement celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Grenada carnival through its groovy soca music. This piece will feature a medley of the last five winning songs of the Grenada Groovy Monarch competition, performed on a blend of classical and traditional instruments, including strings, brass, steel pans, and traditional drums. The project aims to showcase Grenada's diverse and vibrant musical traditions, bringing these instruments together to create a tribute to our summer festival. Through this project, Strachan seeks to preserve these traditions, professionally arrange and record Grenada’s local instruments, and promote cultural exchange and understanding. The Monarch aims to celebrate and preserve Grenada’s rich cultural heritage by blending traditional and modern musical elements. Through this project, we aspire to create a vibrant and harmonious tribute to the Grenada carnival, fostering a deeper appreciation for our unique musical traditions. By bringing together talented musicians and leveraging cutting-edge production techniques, we seek to inspire a new generation of musicians and music lovers, promoting cultural exchange and understanding on a global scale.
