The mangaka Mokumokuren stated that they like how the manga was able to portray character’s like Kaneki’s psychological struggly particularly when he was being tortured by Jason and pshycologily traumitized by the manifastion of Rize. Hikaru and Yoshiki are the best. That’s why Hikaru to me looks like Kaneki and even his monster form looks like a Ghoul’s kagune Kagune
