Description
'ON PARADE' is the first recording made by the Band Of The Blues And Royals upon the formation of the new regiment in 1969.
The Royal Horse Guards (Blues) and the 1st Royal Dragoons (Royals) combined after being separate regiments since 1661.
The Director of Music appointed for the new band was Major E.W.Jeanes L.R.A.M., A,R.C.M., p.s.m.
Side A, track 1 features The Radetsky March, composed by Johann Strauss Senior and dedicated to Field Marshal Joseph Radetzky von Radetz. The arrangement is by Gordon Langford (1930-2017).
The RCA Camden 12 inch vinyl LP was produced by Chandos Productions in 1970 (OCS 7130).
