Filmed in the Louisiana swamp near Bayou Sorrell and at Dockside Studio in Maurice, the "The Basinkeeper and The Band" takes the viewer on an expedition into the Atchafalaya swamp led by Dean Wilson, Louisiana's own version of the Crocodile Hunter, with music and commentary provided by the band "Trees on Fire" as they record their debut album inspired in part by the heroic actions of the Basinkeeper himself. Mr. Wilson and "Trees on Fire" are collaborating on a campaign to raise awareness about illegal logging in the Atchafalaya by companies who clear cut the majestic cypress forests to make garden mulch.
