Flipside: THUNDERBIRD BABY – Here’s another really great unknown ballad from my music collection. There were many other vocal groups that recorded under the name The Paramounts/Paramonts. This Paramounts group hailed from Los Angeles California. Group members were, Ernest “Jhamal” Hamilton, Bobby Baker, John Blalock and James Lanier.
“TAKE MY HEART” was written by group member Bobby Baker. In my opinion as a music historian and record collector for 64 years (started when I was 11) this song is just another example of a fabulous recorded song, one of the 1,000’s and 1,000’s released during those years, that people just don’t know exists…shame!!
