“Love Is Like Oxygen” appears on the 1978 album release "Level Headed", Sweet’s last album featuring Brian Connolly on vocals. In January 1978 it stormed the charts reaching the top 10 in most European countries. The track represents a departure from the typical guitar-led rock numbers to a more refined song-based composition. Indeed the writers Andy Scott and Trevor Griffin received a nomination for the prestigious Ivor Novello award. Brian’s vocal performance is considered to be one of his best in any Sweet song. #Sweet
