Description

Track 1 from their fifth album "Number 5" released in 1970 copyright Capitol Records. It was recorded at Cinderella Sound Studios in Nashville, Tennessee and features some of the best country session players of the day. The country music influence resulted in the album having a perfect "country rock" sound on several songs. Other songs were critical of the government and the ongoing Vietnam War and it was their most political album to date. Original bassist Lonnie Turner left the band early in the recording sessions and was replaced by Bobby Winkelman. Turner would return to the band for their most successful period in the mid-seventies. It was the last album to feature original drummer and vocalist Tim Davis who left the band once recording was completed. He and multi-instrumentalist David Lindley joined English musician Terry Reid's backing band and appeared at the Isle of Wight Festival that year. This was their first release to be produced by the band themselves after Glyn Johns had produced their first four albums. It received above average reviews and reached No. 23 on the Billboard chart. Written by Bobby Winkelman and produced by the Steve Miller Band. RIP Tim Davis, Nicky Hopkins, Bobby Thompson & Lonnie Turner. Featuring:

When all the faces are filled with joy
Life's a holiday, whoa, yeah
Now I'm feelin' more and more this way
As mornin' leads the day, I say "Oh boy"

Now the darkest night has run to hide in shadows
Sunbeams come dancin' in the aisle
Here comes her majesty and royal sunshine
Arisin' in the wind like Heaven's child

Good mornin' to you, good mornin' to you
Good mornin' to you, good mornin' to you
(Here we are in our places with bright, shiny faces)
(And in our eyes is a new day)

(Good mornin')

Good, good, good, good mornin'
Good, good, good, good mornin'
Good, good, good, good mornin'
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah
