O Barquinho, (The Little Boat), was written in 1960 by Ronaldo Bôscoli and keen sailor and guitarist, Roberto Menescal.

Stacey met Roberto in Rio de Janeiro in 2011, backstage at the Show de Paz, commemorating the 80th birthday of the statue, Cristo Redentor, when Stacey was in Brazil, performing with Marcos Valle.

On discovering their mutual love for each other's work, Stacey and Roberto embarked on an email correspondence and became good friends. They resolved to record something together but it wasn't until 2013, that Stacey and Roberto realized their ambition, recording Roberto's classic song, O BARQUINHO and the newly-penned Tomlinson/Ladeira song, A TARDE, for Stacey's album, THE CHANGING LIGHTS.

Their friendship continues, with further recordings planned, and Roberto, also a world-renowned horticulturalist, archivist and breeder of Bromélia, has bred a new variety of his plant, naming it the "Stacey Kent".
