Sam Morrow performs "Sit Crooked" for Music Diaries. This music video was created during the national lockdown due to Covid-19 in the spring of 2020. We couldn't shoot the artist with a professional crew so we had to improvise. We coached each artist the best we could and offered up the best practices. So we asked each artist to record themselves with whatever cameras they had at their disposal. iPhones, iPads, and various other recording devices were used. Some artist shot multiple takes, others only provided a single take. We asked the artist to also record the audio separately and deliver to us a finished song. We then had to sync all the sources with the final mix, using the audio recorded with the video as a guide.
Sam recorded himself with iPhones and an iPad. Since some of the footage was recorded in not the best lighting situations, we had to get creative to help hide the quality at times. The color palette was inspired by a recent protest poster and the texture came from cardboard that we scanned in and overlayed and looped.
