Come on-a my house, my house, I'm gonna give you everything

Come on-a my house, my house, I'm gonna give you
Marriage ring and a pomegranate too ah
Come on-a my house, my house a come on
Come on-a my house, my house a come on
Ross Bagdasarian and his cousin William Saroyan (the famous writer) wrote “Come On-A My House” while driving to their Fresno home from New York in 1940.
Saroyan inserted the song into his off-Broadway play titled The Son.
Bagdasarian convinced a cousin named Kay Armen (a singer) to record the new novelty number for the Federal label. It helps to have cousins when one is in show business.
Rosemary Clooney enjoyed a huge hit with the song in 1951.
