In October 1990, rapper Vanilla Ice's hit "Ice Ice Baby" became the vehicle for Mark Jonathan Davis's first big solo parody hit, "Rice Rice Baby," with lead vocals by L.A. rapper Gary Thomas and backup shouts by MJD. Within weeks of its national release on the Premiere Radio Networks, this homage to Chinese restaurants ranked #1 at KIIS-FM/Los Angeles and other radio stations around the nation, and was even used in an extremely lame music video on ABC-TV's "Into The Night Starring Rick Dees" show.

This newly re-recorded version has new lead vocals by MJD and was released in fall 2020 on the album "The Parody Songs That Destroyed Earth," available on all streaming platforms and at http://www.markjonathandavis.com
