Quartz was Dider Plus, Laurent Taieb and Patrick Langlade -- a French band and self-titled from 1978 remains one of the innovative new-age disco sounds to date. The project utilized synthesizers and bass moogs in variation of disco themes which invoke mystery. "Beyond The Clouds" is a classic among disco connoisseurs and even today has a unique rhythm quality and arrangement.
