The new mysterious rock act PRESIDENT made their live debut at Download festival this weekend. When they were first announced to be playing, ticket holders were confused considering they had not yet released music. But, between them being added to the bill and actually playing the festival, they released two singles, “In The Name Of The Father” and “Fearless”. NME shares that they played five songs, including those, along with “Dionysus”, “Rage” and “Destroy Me”. The most interesting part of this performance is that it left the audience believing the masked frontman is actually Charlie Sumpson of the bands Busted and Fightstar. But, nothing has been confirmed. Following download, President will be playing The Garage in London on July 30th, but tickets are sold out.
