Description

An old song discovered by Peter Syv in the remote mountains of Norway. It was published in 1695 in his work Kjempeviseboka, where many other oral stories are written down. The song itself most likely comes from the time of the onset of christianity in Norway, but was kept in oral tradition until it could be written down, as it contains many aspects of Norse mythology such as trolls, lindworms, dwarves, gods and so on.
