Description
Hey friend! Here's a lesson on one of my all time favourite grooves, as performed by one of the coolest men in history, Mr. John Lee Hooker.
This groove is based on his 1948 song "Boogie Chillun". You can still hear the influence of Johnny Lee's style on practically every guitarist to this day. Some good examples of what this groove developed into would be ZZ Top's 'La Grange' and the Doors 'Roadhouse Blues'. Let me know in the comments if you can think of any other examples that it reminds you of!
