THE PLATTERS® TODAY
In keeping with founder Herb Reed’s wishes, The Platters continue to evolve and entertain music fans of all ages worldwide. In addition to continuing to tour the world, The Platters are involved in myriad projects and are planning to go into the studio soon to record much anticipated new music highlighting an evolved, contemporized sound founded on the music tradition that won The Platters their enduring international music acclaim.

THE HISTORY
In 1953, bass singer Herb Reed founded and named Diamond, Rock & Roll, Vocal, and Grammy® Halls of Fame group, The Platters®. In 1955, the vocal group debuted on the national music charts with “Only You (And You Alone)” soon after Tony Williams, Paul Robi, David Lynch, and Zola Taylor replaced original members Joe Jefferson, Cornell Gunter (who would later form The Coasters), and Alex Hodge.

The Platters music evolution continues today through the crisp, vocal stylings of members Brian McIntosh, Lance Bernard Bryant, Leslie Mon'e, and Omar Ross singing the timeless hits and more.
