"Ode to the Red Plum" (红梅赞) is a patriotic song from 1964 with lyrics by Yan Su, music by Yang Ming, Jiang Chunyang, and Jin Sha, and sung by Wan Fuxiang. It serves as the theme song for the opera and film "Sister Jiang" (江姐). This film is one Zhang Guimei's favorite movies, and the song is one of her favorite songs. On May 25, 2009, "Ode to the Red Plum" was selected as one of the 100 patriotic songs recommended by 10 ministries and commissions, including the Central Propaganda Department and the Central Civilization Office. On June 17, 2019, it was selected as one of the 100 outstanding songs for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
