Nomfusi is a new Afro-soul sensation from Kayelitsha in South Africa that is guaranteed to cause an explosion in the year to come. With an alarmingly powerful voice, electrifying stage presence and super-calibre songwriting, Nomfusi and her 5-piece band is ready to take on the world. Nomfusi was single-handedly raised in a township outside of Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape by her musically gifted mother, Kwazibani, a sangoma. Kwazibani (which means Who knows?) exposed Nomfusi to traditional African songs, gospel and African jazz at a young age, which formed the foundation of her vocal and songwriting style.
