Description

"My Love is a Quickscope" is a song about BPD and rejection dysphoria. It entails this concept of wanting to be closer to someone but being painfully aware of one reason or another that this closeness can't be facilitated. As someone who has been subjected to parasocial advances and sentiments, it can be really tough to recognize that I'm not immune to experiencing the same, distant, unreciprocated emotions. It can be really crushing, especially when you already have the self control to keep to yourself. In that isolation, your love can begin to resemble a quickscope: fleeting, distant, and toxic. It's a hard cycle to break; and when love is war, trigger discipline is in short supply.
