A French song about a miller who falls asleep while the windmill gently turns. But while sleeping, the wind picks up, and the mill's sails start spinning faster and faster! Children love this song and even if French is not their first language they very quickly pick up the meaning. Lying fast asleep as the music is slow, jumping up to the shout and spinning arms and bodies round and round as the music speeds up. And the song repeats itself so children can do the actions all over again.
Actions:
Sleep: When you sing about the miller sleeping, encourage the children to pretend to sleep quietly,
