Mark Boone Junior (Sons of Anarchy, Memento, Batman Begins) delivers a chilling, wolf-in-the-night rendition of the Sonny Bono penned, Nancy Sinatra made famous classic Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) set against an Ennio Marcone inspired production and performance by multi-platinum selling producer Kevin Bowe (The Replacements, Paul Westerberg, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Etta James).

Storyline....

Kevin Bowe is invited to perform as the house band on the Sons of Anarchy tour throughout Australia. Each night of the tour Mark Boone Junior joins Bowe onstage to cover the Sonny Bono penned Nancy Sinatra made famous Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down).

A few months later while at a party in Los Angeles at Danny Hutton’s home studio (Three Dog Night) Mark Boone Junior lays down the vocal tracks for Bowe’s already complete backing tracks. The Boone & Bowe collaboration recasts this classic song with Boone playing the lamenting fallen lover, set against a spaghetti western inspired soundscape of desperados and innocents. Boones ragged and hauntingly beautiful vocals will mesmerize Sons of Anarchy fans around the world.

Kevin Bowe a long time supporter of nonprofit Rock the Cause, and Mark Boone Junior are excited to release their take on the classic Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) through the nonprofit label Rock the Cause Records.

Founded in 2007 Rock the Cause is the only full time nonprofit record label dedicated to releasing music with the greater good in mind. Through concert events, and its partnership with distributor The Orchard, Rock the Cause Records has raised over a million dollars for various charities. Rock the Cause realeses includes Billboard topping YouTube sensation Zach Socbiech and band A Firm Handshake, whose goodbye anthem 'Clouds' inspired millions around the globe and raised nearly 850K for pediatric cancer research, and the critically acclaimed Farewell Transmission the Music of Jason Molina which boasts Molina covers by the likes of My Morning Jacket, Jim James, Murder by Death and more with proceeds support MusiCares!

Net proceeds from the release of Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me) benefit Rock the Cause Records to help support the organizations internal operating expenses. Through out the year Rock the Cause incurs costs associated with multiple charitable music releases, concert events, volunteer drives and programs like Rock the Cause High School that conducts in the classroom workshops on leadership, and volunteerism in under-served districts and charter schools.
