Dr. Don knows that there are numerous different ways to mix a margarita and a mai tai. The recipes in this song for a margarita include, 3 parts tequila, one part triple sec (orange liquor), an eighth of a can of limeade, and a juice of one-half of a fresh lemon. To mix a mai tai, the video shows three parts rum to one part triple sec, an eighth of a can of limeade, one part orgeat (almond syrup), and a splash of grenadine.

Dr. Don plays a Gibson J45 acoustic guitar and sings with Crown 310 microphone.

The video includes authentic poker chips, car keys, and a Mitsubishi PA-210 pre-amplifier. The message of the song is that you should avoid the possibility of driving after drinking alcohol, symbolized by "losing your car keys".
