Powerhouse Scottish singer Maggie Bell had recently left Stone The Crows and just recorded her first solo album for Swan Song in New York at the time of this interview with Whispering Bob Harris from 1974, the same year she would release her Live At The Rainbow album. Managed by Peter Grant, Maggie had featured on Rod Stewart's Every Picture Tells A Story album and at the time was considered the British equivalent of Janis Joplin.
