Dass Pop aus deutschen Landen immer öfter so klingt, als sei er gar nicht von hier, scheint wohl für viele etwas Gutes zu sein. Dabei ließe sich der Spieß auch umdrehen: Nach einer längeren Durststrecke, deren Anfang und Ende unterschiedlich terminiert wird, zeigen hiesige Talente mal wieder was sie tatsächlich drauf haben. Unter denen zählt Luke Noa sicher zu den Herausragenderen, konnte sich der aus dem beschaulichen Biberach an der Riß stammende Sänger-Liedermacher doch schon mit der diesjährigen ersten EP „Bleach“ als Barde bittersüßer Dramen wie „Femme Fatale“ profilieren, gleichzeitig aber auch mit der beschwingten Single „Roccastrada“ einen Wohlfühl-Sommerhit erster Güte abliefern. Egal welche Stimmung seine Songs verfolgen: Harmonische Höhenflüge sind jetzt schon Teil von Noas Signatur. Dabei hatte er als Filmnerd begonnen, wollte eigentlich in diesem Kulturbereich Fuß fassen. Seiner Mutter sei Dank, fand er dann aber doch noch den Weg zur Musik – die er seither mit der richtigen Mixtur aus künstlerischem Ehrgeiz und Bescheidenheit verfolgt. So wird das sicher was.

Vom 22.-25. September findet das Reeperbahn Festival 2021 nicht nur vor Ort sondern erneut auch im umfassenden Livestream statt. Seit dem Debüt im Jahr 2006 hat sich das Reeperbahn Festival zu einem der wichtigsten Treffpunkte für die Musikwelt entwickelt und zeigt, wie sich ein überbordendes musikalisches Line-Up mit musikwirtschaftlichen Interessen und zivilgesellschaftlichem Engagement verbinden lässt.
Neben Konzerten umfasst das Programm auch Formate aus der Bildenden Kunst oder Virtual Reality sowie ein thematisch vielfältiges Film- und Literaturangebot. Im Rahmen von Sessions, Showcases, Networking Events und Award-Shows können Fachbesucher*innen des Reeperbahn Festivals Musik neu denken, erleben und: hören.

Wir freuen uns auf ein Festival im Zeichen des Miteinanders – Rassismus, Sexismus, Homophobie und Ausgrenzung finden bei uns keinen Platz.

The fact that pop music from Germany more often sounds like it’s not even from here seems to be a good thing in many people’s eyes. But things might be changing on this score: after a long lean period, with varying opinions on when it started or came to an end, home-grown German talents are once again showing what they're really capable of. Of these, Luke Noa is surely one of the most exceptional. The singer-songwriter from the idyllic town of Biberach an der Riss has already made his mark as a bard of bittersweet dramas such as ""Femme Fatale"" with this year's first EP ""Bleach"", while at the same time delivering a top-notch feel-good summer hit with the lilting single ""Roccastrada"". Whatever the mood of his songs, harmonious flights of fancy are definitely signatures of Noa’s repertoire. He started out as a film nerd, actually wanting to establish himself in the business. Thanks to his mother, though, he found his way into music – and has stayed on that track ever since, through the right mix of artistic ambition and a humble approach. A sure-fire recipe for success, we reckon.

From September 22-25, Reeperbahn Festival 2021 will not only take place on site but also in a comprehensive livestream once again. Since its debut in 2006, Reeperbahn Festival has become one of the most important meeting points for the music world and shows how an exuberant musical line-up can be combined with music business interests and civil society engagement.
In addition to concerts, the programme also includes formats from the visual arts or virtual reality as well as a thematically diverse film and literature offering. In the context of sessions, showcases, networking events and award shows, Reeperbahn Festival professionals can think, experience and listen to music in a new way.
