June 8, 2013 I stopped in at Good Ol' Days(Cumming Ga.) to check out Little G Weevil and the band members he had assembled for this performance. They included Adam Holliday(keys), Dustin "Red" Sargent(bass) and Mudbone Turner(drums).
This is one of the songs from his 3rd set of the evening, incorporating some of that cool improv that makes hearing a jam so exciting.
Personally, I had never had the pleasure of hearing 'G' before, except once at a Blues Jam at the infamous Darwin's in Marietta last year, and the quality then was obvious of this talented player so I had to hear more. In fact, 'G' traveled to Memphis earlier this year and took home awards for the best solo act as well as best solo guitarist in the International Blues Challenge. In other words, it wasn't just MY opinion, but hear it for yourself. Caught decent audio so crank it up, sit back, and pop open a cold one, for this will be a 16 minute ride.
