:Lie to Me" vocals- Blues singer and guitarist Jonny Lang was released in January 1997. From 1996 to 2004, Lang's backing band included Paul Diethelm on guitar, Bruce McCabe on keyboards, Doug Nelson on bass and Billy Thommes on drums. The song was written by Minneapolis musicians Bruce McCabe and David Z. McCabe. The label is A&M Records and produced by David Z.
Song describes a man upset about relationship with his girlfriend and desperate to keep things loving like they used to be, even asks her to lie to him.
Lang became a Christian in 2000. In an interview with Sara Groves in Christianity Today, Lang tells of a personal experience with the Holy Spirit one day that completely changed his negative view of Christianity and shares his belief and love of God in the songs "Only a Man" and "Thankful" from his album Turn Around.
