Leo says: “Everybody’s Faking Too” was originally written for my father, Ben Sidran, to sing. In fact he did record a version of it called “Faking It” on his 2017 record Picture Him Happy. But while his version was a kind of fevered rhythm and blues track delivered with the energy of a disgruntled minister, I was left feeling that there was another way to frame the song, more gently and as a manifesto for self acceptance, borrowing gently from Harry Nilsson.
