🎶 Explore all 63 U.S. National Parks in under 5 minutes with this catchy, animated song! From Denali's icy heights to the mangroves of the Everglades, sing along as we travel state by state through the wild, wonderful, and awe-inspiring landscapes that make up America's greatest treasures. Perfect for kids, classrooms, or anyone who loves parks and music. 🌲🌄
Here are the lyrics for folks who want to sing along!
————————
Alabama doesn’t have one, but Alaska’s got a claim —
Denali, Gates, and Kobuk, each with a frosty name,
Wrangell–St. Elias towers tall, and Lake Clark’s trails are wide,
Katmai rumbles, Kenai drips, and Glacier Bay’s a ride!
Arizona’s got a trio: Saguaro, Petrified,
And Grand Canyon’s sweeping edges where the Colorado rides,
Arkansas has Hot Springs, steamy since the days of yore,
California’s got the most — nine parks and maybe more!
Channel Islands, Death Valley, Kings Canyon, Joshua Tree,
Sequoia and Yosemite
There’s Pinnacles and Lassen, and Redwoods up the coast —
If hiking’s what you’re after, this state’s got the most!
[Verse 4]
Colorado has four to show: Rocky Mountain pride,
Mesa Verde’s ruins, and the dunes where lizards hide,
Black Canyon’s walls are steep and dark like shadows on the floor —
A canyon carved by river rage, with echoes by the score!
Florida has three to see: Biscayne and Dry Tortugas,
And Everglades with mangroves thick and birds with long proboscises.
Hawai‘i’s got Volcanoes, and Haleakalā’s crater,
Where lava flows and silence glows, and sunrise hits you later.
In oceans south, where reefs will glow —
American Samoa’s wild to go!
Indiana has its Dunes, and Kentucky’s got a cave —
Mammoth’s deep and dark and long, a bat-filled limestone maze!
Maine has got Acadia, with rocky cliffs and tides,
Michigan’s got Isle Royale, where wolves and moose reside
Minnesota’s Voyageurs is icy, wet, and vast,
Missouri’s got an Arch that marks a westward traveler’s past
Montana holds up Glacier, with lakes so blue and clear,
And Yellowstone — it’s partly there, with geysers shooting cheer!
But down in Wyoming’s wild terrain,
Grand Teton rises bold and plain
Nevada’s got Great Basin, where bristlecones grow slow,
New Mexico’s got Carlsbad Caverns and White Sands’ gypsum snow
North Dakota’s Roosevelt rides horses on the plains,
Ohio’s Cuyahoga flows through hills and leafy lanes
Oregon has Crater Lake, all cobalt and volcano,
South Carolina’s Congaree? It’s swampy and it’s primo
South Dakota’s got two parks: Badlands’ striped terrain,
And Wind Cave full of chambers twisting under the Great Plains
Tennessee and North Carolina share the Smokies’ misty trails,
Texas boasts Big Bend and peaks where Guadalupe prevails
Utah’s got a famous five — the red rock royalty —
Zion, Bryce, Arches, Reef, and Canyonlands to see!
Virginia’s Shenandoah with Skyline’s winding road,
Washington’s got three that stretch from forests to the snow:
Mount Rainier and Olympic, with Cascades way up high —
A glacial land of jagged peaks and waterfalls that fly!
West Virginia’s New River Gorge cuts through the ridge and shale,
And now we’ve sung the parks by state — we’ve walked the whole darn trail!
From mountain peaks to desert suns, from coral reef to plain,
Protect them all — they’re wild and free, and not just fun terrain!
That’s all 63 — no tricks, no fluff.
If you remembered half, you know your stuff!
