Hey Wanhaka?! This is a love song. "Wanhaka" means "where you going," and it's about finding love in the city and asking that person if they'd like to come live in my hometown of Yirrkala, North-East Arnhem Land, in the bush. Hey Wanhaka is almost like the Yolngu Matha equivalent to saying "wassup, what's happening, where you going."
The manikay in this song is "Lorrpu" - the white cockatoo.
