ABOUT THIS TRACK:
It’s about getting out of the city and going bush. It tells a story of heading back home. It came about after one of our family members got lost in the city of Melbourne one time when we were on tour with Yothu Yindi. She had no phone. In true Yolŋu style she navigated her way back to us. We now laugh about it. There have been times when we miss our home back in North-East Arnhem Land. But when we see the sun go down and we see that djapana wherever we are we know our home is never far away. Yirrŋa and I wrote this song when we were away on tour. It’s really about living under the one sun. We were watching the sun set in a totally different direction to what we were use to seeing it. But when we saw the sun go down and we saw that sunset we realized we are all just living under the one sun, the same sun. Wherever we are at whatever time zone, there’s still just one sun and seeing that sunset lets us know that home is never far away.
