Description
"Jubilation": A Sonic Bridge Between Aune and Masaka, Between Italy and Uganda
A music video is about to be released that connects seemingly distant worlds—yet united by a universal language: music. The project stems from the meeting between Italian artist Stefano Orfeo Meneghetti, who has long lived in the quiet mountain village of Aune, Sovramonte, and the extraordinary young dancers of Masaka Kids Africana, based in central Uganda.
The song is called “Jubilation”, produced by Cafe De Anatolia, a global label known for its eclectic and electronic sounds. The official video – coming soon – was filmed in Masaka, Uganda, featuring the joyful energy of the Masaka Kids Africana, a foundation that supports orphans and children from highly vulnerable situations.
The Power of Dance as Redemption
The Masaka Kids Africana are not just dancers; they are living proof of how art can become a tool for healing, hope, and connection. Through rhythm and movement, these children tell a different story of Africa—one of resilience, community, and joy. Their contagious energy is the beating heart of “Jubilation”.
A Project Born Between the Alps and the Mediterranean
Stefano Orfeo Meneghetti, a visual artist and experimental musician, left Milan to settle in Aune, a tiny village in the Venetian Alps, where he began to explore new sonic landscapes. Here he also created projects like “D-ctionnaire: A Sonic Alphabet Journey” with Marseille-based DJ Monsieur Lune. “Jubilation”, however, takes this vision even further—towards cultural exchange and musical fusion.
The track blends afrobeat, electronic sounds, and Mediterranean influences, forming a symbolic bridge between North and South, between creators and dancers, between those who have—and those who dream.
Music for Change
This video is more than just an artistic creation—it's a message: music can change lives. “Jubilation” is a celebration of joy and a symbol of rebirth. Part of the project’s proceeds will support the Masaka Kids Africana foundation, which helps children discover their value and believe in a better future.
