Scott Joplin (1868-1917) was an American composer and pianist who is known as the "King of Rags." He is best known for composing "The Entertainer" and the "Maple Leaf Rag."
Richard Glazier's website describes him as an "award-winning pianist, narrator, documentary filmmaker and one of the leading authorities on American Popular Song." I feel he plays this piece better than anyone else I have heard.
