You're listening to the official audio for Joni Mitchell - “Moon At The Window (demo)”. Recorded in 1980, this rare demo features Mitchell on vocals and guitar, with John Guerin on percussion. Released on 1982’s ‘Wild Things Run Fast’, the finished version also included Mitchell on electric guitar, Russell Ferrante on the Oberheim synthesizer, and Wayne Shorter on soprano sax. It’s believed to be an allegory pulled from the famous poem "The Thief Left It Behind" by Japanese Buddhist priest Ryokan.
