Description
One of the cutest songs of the 1920's. Recorded August 13, 1925 (Victor 19756). The Victor ledgers note that this was the first recording for this dance band. The featured vocalists are Frank Masterson, Edward Groff and Charles Buckwalter. The Kentucky Serenaders' biggest hit came the following year with "Black Bottom" which became a dance craze. Whispering Jack Smith had a best selling record of "Cecilia". The Bachelors later recorded it in the 1960's for an album of songs featuring girl's names. Written by Dave Dreyer and Herman Ruby. Issued as the B-side of "The Promenade Walk".
