When Hank Williams co-wrote and recorded this song about a popular Cajun and Creole meal back in 1952 he spawned countless cover versions over the years. None better, methinks, than this brilliant version by The Carpenters in 1974. It failed to chart in the good old US of A but made it to a respectable #12 here in Britain and as high as #3 in the Dutch charts.
