In preparation for the Newport Folk Festival next month, I've decided to do a series of take-away cover videos highlighting some of my favorite acts from the fest's lineup.

For this video, I wanted to share a song from one of the artists I'm most excited about. You've probably heard Michael Kiwanuka's music as the theme song for HBO's Big Little Lies show. But the full song is really striking, and I thought a quiet Gretsch with some simple loop pedal work in my home studio was the perfect setting for it.
