The day has finally come. The Return of the King...of the Hill. And it actually might be the BEST animated revival we’ve had yet? Not a reboot, not a spin-off, not a sequel, not a gritty live-action reimagining, but a continuation that’s classified as just another season of the show, a la Futurama or Phineas and Ferb. Out of every cartoon they’ve resurrected from the grave to keep us trapped in the cycle of binge watching, this is the first one where I finished the season and was upset I couldn’t dive right into the next batch of episodes. Moving forward, I think this is the gold standard on reviving a cartoon. With a substantial timeskip that fundamentally alters the show as we have an older Bobby Hill, Connie, Joseph and Chane, alongside Hank and Peggy readjusting to modern America after spending years in Saudi Arabia, the show feels fresher than ever without losing everything that made it special in the first place. This is our review of King of the Hill season 14!
