After days of sweltering heat, 43 degrees Celcius, performing in the neighborhood of Perigeux, in the small villages of Mensignac and Atur, east of
Bordeaux, The Tuba Skinny Band continued on their 2019 European Tour with a three set gig in Anglet, where dark clouds and gusty winds and slight rain indicated a weather-change was underway. Following Tuba Skinny, the day after, arriving in Andernos-les-Bains, on the famous northeast shore of Arcachon Bay, by bus from Bordeaux in the afternoon of July 26th, 2019, we were met with a horrendous downpour, completely drenching us and every piece of clothing and bags while seeking our small hotel. Drying up and having a small meal, we were lucky making it to Tuba's first appearence in the early evening in Andernos-les-Bains and getting a decent spot for videographing the two sets and the encore. The French gave Tuba Skinny a warm welcome, a big crowd had gettered to listen and see and there were some happy dancers. Here for them and those who could not make it, the encore, "I'm Blue and Lonesome". Videographed with a hand-held Sony HandyCam, the Sony FDR-AX100, in high quality mode. Enjoy!
