Italo Calvino's labyrinthine fantasy of literary detective work and immersion is transformed here to the world of talking books and audio dramas. It changes very little about the story itself, which some will find befuddling just as others find it beguiling. The original novel is about somebody, a reader - you, in fact - who buys a book in a shop and readers the first chapter, only to find that a printing error has put the wrong first chapter in the book. Desperate to find out what happens next, the reader goes on an unexpectedly convoluted quest to find the rest of the story. The book itself is composed almost entirely of Chapters One, and so it is here, but in the medium of audio...
