The idea for the song “I Am the Storm” came from my late friend Kris Belcher. She sent me this quote:

“The devil whispered in my ear, ‘You’re not strong enough to withstand the storm.’ Today I whispered in the devil’s ear, ‘I am a child of God, a woman of faith, a warrior of Christ. I am the storm.’ ”

After sending me the quote Kris said, “You need to write that song.”

I believe God wants you to hear this message. You are filled with the divinity of God and you have a work to do. He wants you to do important, meaningful and great things. As you walk faithfully hand in hand with God, you are a grace-filled force to be reckoned with.

You are the storm.
