“I Can See Clearly Now” is the first track from the 1993 album, “Don’t Smoke In Bed” released by the Holly Cole Trio for Alert Music Inc. – song composed by Johnny Nash. This track features Aaron Davis (piano), David Piltch (bass & percussion) and Holly Cole (vocals). The original Johnny Nash reggae version, released in 1972, reached #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. It has been covered by many artists since. I really enjoy Holly Cole’s approach to this song. As with many of my videos, this project was inspired while listening to the song while sitting at my desk. In most cases, I’ll listen to the song repeatedly while tracking down what I hope to be appropriate imagery. I have considered doing something with this version of the song for a few years now – finally, Iv'e managed to find the time to string images together for it.
