This fun song from 1924 entered the public domain as of 1/1/20. It is a song from an early Broadway musical titled " Innocent Eyes" which opened in 1924. The music was written by Milton Ager and the lyrics were written by Yellen, Bates and Bigelow. Over the years many famous female singers interpreted this song ie :Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald and Carole Burnette among others. I love the lyrics! I hope this music is enjoyed by others as much as I have. I found it an unusual and funny song-I hope others think so too. Of course the man hating theme is "tongue in cheek" humor. I even sang it in "Brooklynese"!. (my native language-lol! Although my impromtu version cannot possibly compete with the hundred years of professional and expensive productions of iconic singers who rehearsed for days, I
just sang it for the fun of it! Just me, my mic and little rehearsal. To me singing is expression and I was never in it for "the money". I hope I can entertain you. N
