► ABOUT

Greg Lake rose to fame as composer, lyricist, bass player and founding member of Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP) and King Crimson, two iconic bands responsible for the creation of prog rock in the 1970s.
As a member of ELP, Lake wrote and recorded countless popular songs including "Lucky Man" and "From the Beginning", with many entering the UK and US singles charts.
When ELP began a hiatus, Lake launched a solo career, beginning with his 1975 single "I Believe in Father Christmas" which reached number two in the UK and has since become a perennial Christmas classic.
