Matthew 7:21
Not everyone who says to me’Lord, Lord’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, be he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ’Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, cast our demons in Your name and done many wonders in your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness!’

This is a statement from Jesus letting us know that it is not the people that go to church but live any way they want throughout the week that will make it into Heaven. He’s saying the people that claim to be a Christian but still do all the wrong things that everyone else does are still not worthy of heaven, just as much as the people that don’t believe. Those that make it to heaven are those that have been reborn through the baptism of water or the Holy Spirit and that turn from their old sins that once enslaved their way of thinking and life. Being saved is more than praying a prayer and getting in water, it’s a lifelong relationship with God through reading the Bible continually, praying to Him continually, and staying away from the wrong things that cause you to sin continually.
